Whether in the ice cream parlour, in the park or on the beach: with the new VOX-NOW app you can call up the programme on offer at the Cologne radio station anytime and anywhere.
Summer may come – because VOX is now also available for mobile use! With the new VOX-NOW app, VOX programmes such as “Das perfekte Dinner”, “Goodbye Deutschland!” or “Shopping Queen” can now also be followed conveniently on the move. The wide range of video-on-demand services makes it possible to watch VOX formats even after they have been broadcast on TV. In addition, the new app can receive the live TV signal of the Cologne-based broadcaster – anytime and anywhere. The app is available in the Apple AppStore for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The app will soon also be available for Android smartphones and tablets. The VOX-NOW app can now be downloaded free of charge and tested once for 30 days. Users can then continue to use the new app for a technical access fee of € 1.79 per month. In addition, there are two subscription packages (half-yearly € 8.99 / yearly € 15.99).
The new app is a joint product of VOX and RTL interactive. With the VOX-NOW app, three channels of the Media Group RTL Germany are already available live and time-shifted via smartphones and tablets. The RTL II NOW app will also be launched today at the same time. The RTL NOW app with merged live TV and video-on-demand services has been available since March.
Following the launch of the web services RTL NOW (2007), VOX NOW (2009) and SUPER RTL NOW (2010), last year RTL II NOW, RTL NITRO NOW and n-tv now completed the services for the time-shifted viewing of TV programs of the free-TV stations of the Media Group RTL Germany. Since December 2012, NOW offers have also been available via HD+RePlay in TV broadcast quality. The NOW offers will also be available on Kabel Deutschland from summer onwards. The free TV programs of the Media Group RTL Germany will also be available in TV quality on the Zattoo Internet TV service from the middle of the year. Last year, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland achieved 1.18 billion video views of professionally produced content on the Web. More than half of these reached the offers of the NOW family.
